Mr. Mizrahi earned a Bachelor of Science degree, with highest honors, in Genetics from the University of California at Davis in 1992. While at Davis, Mr. Mizrahi performed research in the laboratory of Raymond L. Rodriguez, in an effort to isolate novel genes in rice responsible for seed germination. He designed and executed research protocols utilizing many of the latest laboratory techniques, including polymerase chain reaction and gel electrophoresis. He earned his law degree from the University of Southern California Law School in 1995. While in law school, Mr. Mizrahi served as an intern in the Law Offices of Robert L. Shapiro while writing a thesis on the admissibility and reliability of DNA evidence in criminal cases. He was admitted to the California bar in 1995 and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Mizrahi's law practice includes general intellectual property law with an emphasis in patent, trademark, and copyright litigation. He also has experience preparing trademark applications for a wide variety of client businesses, including clearinghouses, labor unions, and toy manufacturers. His experience also includes preparing and negotiating licenses and agreements relating to intellectual property rights and preparing patent applications in the field of biology. Prior to joining Belasco Jacobs & Townsley, LLP, Mr. Mizrahi was a senior associate with the international law firm of Sidley, Austin, Brown & Wood LLP.
