Mr. Jacobs earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, has undertaken studies leading to a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Irvine, and received his law degree from the University of Miami, Florida. He began his practice of law in 1981 in the District Attorney’s Office of Dade County, Florida. He is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, in all state and federal courts in California, and before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Jacobs has practiced exclusively in the area of Intellectual Property, with particular emphasis in litigation. For 12 years prior to forming Belasco Jacobs & Townsley, LLP, Mr. Jacobs was an associate with the law firm of Beehler and Pavitt.
